MANILA, Philippines - On Wednesday, Pia Wurtzbach warned her fans about some fake accounts claiming to be her.
This comes after a certain account on Facebook, bearing her name and photo, conducted an election poll which immediately went viral on the internet.
"Please stop. This is not real. This is not me. Thank you :)," the caption reads.
In addition to denying the page, she also mentioned that she only has two legitimate accounts on Facebook, a fan page group and the official Miss Universe account.
In a press conference held in lieu with her homecoming parade last January, the 26-year-old beauty queen encouraged voters to be very careful on who they are voting for.
"I hope that we elect the right people because it’s going to shape the country for the next couple of years so it’s very important," Wurtzbach said in front of several press members.
"Kilalanin n’yo po nang mabuti ‘yung mga iboboto n’yo. Hindi po sapilitan o parang minadaling desisyon. Kailangan po magaan sa loob n’yo kung sino ang iboboto n’yo po for the elections," the beauty queen added.
Wurtzbach, who last visited the Philippines this April to crown her successor, has not been open about endorsing any presidential candidate.
